Darafeev Solid Wood Bar Stools, Game Chairs & Poker Dining Tables
Darafeev has built furniture in Southern California since 1959, starting as a maker of chair frames, and today handcrafts bar stools, game chairs, dining chairs, spectator chairs and convertible poker tables to order in solid maple or oak. Choose from more than two dozen wood finishes and upholster in Darafeev fabric, Crypton performance fabric, vinyl or genuine leather. Every Darafeev piece carries a 5-year warranty on the wood frame.
Darafeev buying guide and FAQ
Counter or bar height?
Darafeev stools come in 26-inch counter height for standard 36-inch kitchen counters and 30-inch bar height for 42-inch bars. Aim for 10 to 12 inches between the seat and the underside of the counter.
What is Flexback?
Flexback stools and chairs have a back that eases about 1 to 1 1/2 inches as you lean in, then returns upright when you sit forward. It gives you a gentle recline without the bulk of a lounge chair.
Maple or oak?
Maple has a fine, even grain that takes darker and painted finishes beautifully. Oak has a bolder, open grain with a warmer, more traditional look. Many Darafeev designs come in both.
Convertible poker dining tables
Darafeev’s convertible tables have a reversible top: solid wood for dining on one side, and a felt poker surface ringed by a wood racetrack with built-in chip trays and cup holders on the other. Most come in 48, 54 or 60-inch sizes.
