Product Description
The Darafeev Gen Oak Low-Back Swivel Bar Stool gives Darafeev’s most modern design the warmth of solid oak. A curved wood back wraps gently around you, while a padded seat keeps meals and conversations comfortable. Its low back stays below most countertops, so the Gen keeps an open kitchen feeling open, and its 20 1/2” footprint lines up neatly along an island.
Designed by Erin Darafeev
Erin Darafeev designed the Gen to bring a fresh, contemporary shape to the family company’s hand-built hardwood seating. In oak, the open grain adds texture and a slightly more relaxed feel than the maple version.
Handcrafted from Solid Oak
Each Gen is built to order from solid oak and finished by hand in Darafeev’s Southern California factory. Oak’s open grain shows through finishes like Honey, Tudor, Tobacco and Rustic Pewter for a warm, traditional look.
Comfort That Lasts
The 3 1/2” seat pairs high-resiliency foam with suspension seating, and the upholstery is pulled tight so the cushion keeps its shape through years of daily use.
Smooth 360° Swivel
A smooth 360° swivel makes it easy to turn toward the conversation or step away from the counter. Prefer a tidier look? Choose the optional memory-return swivel, which turns the seat back to face forward when you get up.
Customized for Your Space
Upholster the seat in Darafeev fabric, Crypton performance fabric, vinyl, or genuine leather in two grades and add an optional metal footplate. Swatches for every option are shown below.
