Product Description
The Darafeev 617 Oak Flexback Upholstered Swivel Bar Stool brings the trim, tailored shape of Darafeev’s 917 to solid oak. At only 17” wide, it fits easily along a kitchen island while still giving you a full padded back. The back is mounted on Darafeev’s Flexback system, so it gives about an inch to an inch and a half when you lean in and returns upright when you sit forward.
Oak Character, Slim Footprint
Oak’s open grain adds warmth and texture to the 617’s clean, squared-off lines. Pair it with a soft fabric for a relaxed kitchen or a rich leather for a classic home bar. Photos show the maple 917, which shares the 617’s design.
Handcrafted from Solid Oak
Each 617 is built to order from solid oak and finished by hand in Darafeev’s Southern California factory. Oak’s open grain shows through finishes like Honey, Tudor, Tobacco and Rustic Pewter for a warm, traditional look.
Comfort That Lasts
The 3 1/2” seat pairs high-resiliency foam with suspension seating, and the upholstery is pulled tight so the cushion keeps its shape through years of daily use.
Smooth 360° Swivel
A smooth 360° swivel makes it easy to turn toward the conversation or step away from the counter. Prefer a tidier look? Choose the optional memory-return swivel, which turns the seat back to face forward when you get up.
Customized for Your Space
Upholster the seat and back in Darafeev fabric, Crypton performance fabric, vinyl, or genuine leather in two grades and add an optional metal footplate. Swatches for every option are shown below.
